FAQ's

What time should I arrive?

We open the doors to all workshops, public or private, 15 minutes prior to the workshop start time.  This gives you the time to get in, get your snacks out, apron on and waiver signed before we start instruction.

Can I choose my own colors?

YES!  The colors of the signs on our website are only our samples.  You will start with raw wood, and our Master Makers will walk you through the process of painting your sign.  We have 51 different paint colors (and we'll show you how to use any color as a stain) so we are SURE you’ll find a combo you love for your one-of-a-kind creation.

Can I just buy a sign?

When you visit our workshops, you will see our walls decorated with signs.  All of these signs are available to be purchased ‘grab and go’ style. If you would prefer us to paint a sign for you with specific colors or personalization, please contact us to arrange it.  Most of the time we can have them painted and ready for you within 7 days.

Can anyone come to workshops?

Well, depends on the workshop.  Our public workshops are for 18 and over, unless designated as a ‘Mini-Maker’ workshop.  For private workshops, you can invite anyone you would like to enjoy the evening with you.

Are Mini-Makers workshops only for children?

NO!  We would love to have anyone come to these workshops, however they are the ones that children under 18 are invited to.

Can I bring snacks and drinks?

Yes, making is more fun with yummy food!  We do allow snacks and drinks, including beer and wine at both locations.

Can I make more than one sign at the same workshop?

We are sorry but because of time constraints and the way we instruct, we can only allow each person to make ONE project at each workshop. If there are multiple designs you want to make we suggest that you invite someone to join you {and they also have a purchased spot} to make it.

What is the cancellation policy?

Due to the customizations at ALL our workshops, there are NO REFUNDS FOR WORKSHOPS! However, if you cancel with at least 48 hours notice your FULL reservation fee will be turned into a store credit that can ONLY be used for future workshops. If your cancellation falls within 48-24 hours of the workshop, HALF of your reservation fee will be turned into a workshop credit. If unforeseen circumstances require you to cancel the SAME DAY of a workshop you are scheduled to attend, we suggest you find a friend or family member to come in your place so that you are not out the reservation fee you paid. Same day cancellations or no-shows will NOT get a credit for a future workshop!

Can my friend/mom/daughter come to the workshop and just watch?

We are sorry but this is not allowed. Our studio only has space for a certain number of people, because of this and safety issues we cannot allow anyone that does not have a paid spot reserved to come and hang out.

How long does a workshop last?

Workshops typically last 2-2.5 hours depending on the design and paint techniques you decide to use.
